Client Spotlight: Elevating a Legacy with the New Website for Neal Aircraft

by | Uncategorized

At Your Web Pro, we love working with businesses that have deep roots and a rich history. So, when the team at Neal Aircraft approached us to design and launch their new website, we were absolutely thrilled to take on the challenge.

Based just down the road from us at the Larry T. Neal Memorial Airport in Slaton, Texas, Neal Aircraft isn’t just any aviation company—they are an industry pillar with an incredible 80-year multi-generational legacy. Founded in 1946 by Roy Neal, a decorated WWII “Hump Pilot,” and grown by his son Larry, the business is now proudly run by Robert Neal. As a trusted, authorized Air Tractor dealer, they supply top-tier agricultural and firefighting planes to pilots and operators who do some of the most critical work in the skies.

An extraordinary business like that needs an online presence that commands attention, respects its history, and operates with high-precision engineering. Here is a look behind the scenes at how we built the new website for NealAircraft.com.

1. First Impressions That Take Flight

When you deal in massive, powerful machinery like Air Tractor agricultural and firefighting planes, static photos don’t always capture the true scale of what you do. For this new website, we wanted visitors to feel the power of these aircraft the second the page loaded.

We integrated a high-definition cinematic video background right into the hero section of the homepage. Immediately, users are treated to stunning aerial footage of these planes in action. It sets a professional tone, highlights their primary product line visually, and anchors their incredible milestone: “80 Years and Soaring!”

2. Streamlining a Heavy-Duty Inventory

Neal Aircraft does a lot. They sell brand-new agricultural planes (like the AT-802A and 502XP), massive fire planes (including the iconic Fire Boss), pre-owned aircraft, and a massive catalog of specialized aircraft parts.

Our challenge when developing the new website was structuring the user experience (UX) so that a busy operator looking for a specific part or a pilot shopping for a used plane could find exactly what they needed in just a click or two. We designed a clean, intuitive navigation menu that cleanly categorizes their inventory into dedicated landing pages. By breaking these down, we didn’t just make the new website easy to navigate for humans—we also created a highly optimized structure for search engines (SEO).

3. Honoring a 1946 Legacy

While the planes and parts are the core of the business, the heart of Neal Aircraft is their family story and legendary Texas hospitality. They treat their clients like family, built on a foundation of trust and a shared passion for aviation.

We made sure the copy and layout of the new website gave their legacy room to breathe. The homepage features a dedicated section tracking their story from WWII to the present day, seamlessly blending their corporate capability with their small-town, family-first values.

4. Built for Everyone (Web Accessibility)

A major priority for this new website build was ensuring that the digital storefront was fully accessible to all visitors. We integrated advanced web accessibility features, including an interactive accessibility profile sidebar. Visitors can easily toggle high-contrast modes, adjust text sizes, activate screen-reader compatibility, or modify page structures to suit their individual needs.

Engineered to Perform

Just like a well-maintained aircraft, a new website needs to be fast, reliable, and smooth. The final build is fully responsive—meaning it looks and functions beautifully whether an operator is checking parts inventory on a desktop in the office or a pilot is browsing used planes on a smartphone out on the tarmac.

We want to give a massive thank you to Robert Neal and the entire team at Neal Aircraft for trusting Your Web Pro to bring their digital presence to new heights.
