Lubbock Housing Authority exists to help the people of Lubbock with affordable housing solutions. With cost of living rising and average income largely staying the same, Lubbock Housing Authority’s mission is to serve our community and increase access to affordable housing in Lubbock. The Lubbock Housing Authority administers three housing programs: Public Housing, Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), and Section 8 Project Based Vouchers (PBV). The Housing Authority of the City of Lubbock manages 306 units of Public Housing that includes 60 units designated for elderly and an additional 1159 Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers and 72 Section 8 Project Based units. Their goal is always to help the people of Lubbock find affordable housing.
